A Spooktacular Halloween Card

Halloween cards are always so much fun to create, and the Spooktacular Designer Series Paper makes it especially easy to create a festive card with lots of personality!
For this card, I started with a Basic Black cardstock card base and layered it with Granny Apple Green cardstock and then the Spooktacular DSP. The DSP was cut to 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".

One of my favorite details on this card is the dimensional leaves. I carefully cut the leaves from the Spooktacular DSP and then re-adhered them to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. This gives the leaves a little extra lift and adds some fun dimension to the otherwise flat DSP background.

For the sentiment, I used one of the Spotlight on Nature Dies to cut the circle. The "BOO to You" sentiment from the Oh My Fright Stamp Set was stamped in Basic Black Hybrid Ink.

To give the circle a little more Halloween color, I sponged the edges with Pumpkin Pie ink using a Sponge Dauber. A few Timid Tiger Sunset Sparkle Sequins add just the right amount of sparkle and finish off the front of the card.

A Little Halloween Fun Inside

I carried the Halloween colors to the inside of the card with a Pumpkin Pie cardstock panel.

The "Happy Halloween" sentiment and the fun cloud of bats are both from the Oh My Fright Stamp Set and were stamped in Basic Black Hybrid Ink.

I love how the inside coordinates with the card front without being overly complicated. Sometimes a simple stamped sentiment and a few images are all you need!

This card is a great example of how you can let Designer Series Paper do most of the work while adding just a few simple details to create a fun and festive handmade Halloween card.

Pumpkin Kisses & Harvest Wishes

Fall crafting is in full swing, and this card is all about celebrating the cozy colors, delicious treats, and beautiful leaves of the season! The rich Cajun Craze and Gold Foil combination gives this card a warm, elegant autumn feel, while the fun images from the Harvest Hues Mix & Match Ephemera Pack add plenty of personality.

The card base is made with Cajun Craze cardstock, layered with a Gold Foil panel and a Cajun Craze top panel. The Cajun Craze top panel was embossed using the fall-themed embossing folder from the Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folders, creating a beautiful background filled with subtle seasonal texture.

For a little extra detail, I used one of the Tile Garden Dies to cut three squares from a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock. Each square was then topped with an image from the Harvest Hues Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. I love how these little framed images—especially the cozy coffee cup, book surrounded by leaves, and slice of pie—bring the feeling of a crisp fall day right to the card front!

The focal point is the “Pumpkin Kisses & Harvest Wishes” sentiment from the Harvest & Holly Mix & Match Specialty Ephemera Pack. It was layered onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, giving it some added dimension and making it stand out beautifully against the embossed background.

To finish the front, I scattered several leaves from the Harvest Hues Mix & Match Ephemera Pack around the design. The leaves add just the right amount of extra color and help tie all the individual elements together.

A Little Fall Inside

The inside of the card features a Basic White cardstock panel adhered to the Cajun Craze card base. The sentiment and coordinating leaves are from the Fun For Fall stamp set and were stamped in Cajun Craze ink.

I love adding a little stamping to the inside of my cards—it gives the recipient a special surprise when they open the card and makes the entire design feel complete.

This card is a wonderful example of how combining embossing, Mix & Match Ephemera, metallic accents, and traditional fall colors can create a card that feels both handmade and beautifully finished.
