St. Patrick's Day Card

This card is absolutely gorgeous.  It would work perfect for many occasions by substituting the shamrock for a leaf or with no shamrock and just the bow.
To make this card, you will need Old Olive cardstock for the card base and Whisper White cardstock for the front panel.  The flower is from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and is stamped in Basic Gray ink and colored lightly with an Old Olive Stampin' Write marker.  The shamrock was made using one of the smaller heart dies from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits set and Old Olive cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive ink and is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  The sentiment label was made using the label die from the Stylish Stems Framelits dies.  The border around the sentiment label was stamped with the coordinating label stamp from the Special Reason stamp set in Old Olive ink.  The label was adhered to the card front using Stampin' dimensionals.  The gold metallic bow is from the Metallic Ribbon set that is offered as a free bonus with a qualifying order through the end of March with the Sale-A-Bration promotion.

Speaking of Sale-A-Bration now is a perfect time to join my Stampin' Up! team.

Birthday Theme Bloghop

Welcome to the Team Stamp It Group Birthday Theme Blog Hop.
Whether you started the blog hop with my blog or "hopped" over to my blog from one of my teammates blog, I am happy you stopped by.
I love the Special Reason stamp set and using it to make this card was so fun, especially with the Rock n' Roll technique (see video at bottom of this post) and the Stylish Stems framelits dies.
The ink colors I used to make the "rock n' roll" flowers were Flirty Flamingo and Crushed Curry, but you could use any coordinating color combination. The Watermelon Wonder card base was randomly stamped with Watermelon Wonder ink using the large flower from the Special Reason stamp set.  Flirty Flamingo cardstock was used to make the delicate detailed flower.  The solid leaves were stamped with Old Olive ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the Stylish Stems Framelits dies.  I used Old Olive cardstock and the Stylish Stems framelits dies to make the cut out the intricate detailed leaves.
The Stylish Stems framelits dies set comes with two label dies that can be used individually or together.  I used the two label dies together to create the border around the sentiment on this card, which gives the label a recessed look. The Special Reason stamp set comes with a coordinating border stamp, which I used to stamp the border around the label in Flirty Flamingo ink.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink and is from the Avant Gardens stamp set that is one of our Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that you can get for FREE!!
The projects you make with this stamp set will be gorgeous.  Another reason why I love this stamp set is that it comes with sentiment stamps that can be used for the inside of the card, as well as, stamps for the outside. The Special Reason stamp set can be purchased with the coordinating Stylish Stems framelits dies as a bundle, which is an added bonus or individually as a wood mount or clear mount stamp set.
