Let's Go Fishing #3

Isn't this fishing vest the cutest??!!

This vest was inspired by a vest Tami White had made.

The vest has a Crumb Cake cardstock card base.

The front of the vest was embossed using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

Once embossed the bottom corners of the vest were cut at an angle using the Very Best Trio Punch.

Next, Crumb Cake ink was sponged around the edges of the vest using a Sponge Dauber.

The pockets are 3/4" x 3/4" and 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".  The bottom corners of the pockets have been cut with a corner rounder punch.  Crumb Cake ink was sponged around the edges of the pockets using a Sponge Dauber.

A 1/4" wide piece of Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper, which has been sponged around the edges using Crumb Cake ink, was adhered to the top of the pockets.  The pockets were adhered onto the vest front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were adhered to the front of the vest to look like buttons.

The fishing lure is a two-step stamp, first stamp was in Smoky Slate ink. The second stamp was in Starry Sky ink.  Once the ink had dried, Wink of Stella was  colored over the feather and then the lure was cut out using the coordinating Gone Fishing die.

The smaller feather on the lure was cut out using the Blue end of the Berry Burst Holographic Trio Specialty Paper and the coordinating Gone Fishing die.  Once cut out, it was adhered onto the larger feather using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The hooks and flashers were cut out using the Silver and Starry Sky Holographic Trio Specialty Paper.
The inside of the card starts with Early Espresso cardstock panel that has had the bottom corners cut using the Very Best Trio Punch.

The sentiment is from the Gone Fishing stamp set, as is the fishing lure, both have been stamped in Copper Clay ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

Let's Go Fishing #2

This card was inspired by a tackle box card that was made by Rachel Tessman.

This card starts with an Early Expresso cardstock card base.  The lower two corners of the card have been cut with a corner round punch.

The front of the card has a piece of the Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper (DSP) that also has the bottom two corners cut with a corner round punch adhered on top of the Early Espresso card front.

The sentiment on the front of the card is from the Gone Fishing stamp set and has been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to Crumb Cake cardstock.

The fish hook is from the Gone Fishing dies and has been cut out in Basic Black cardstock.

To make the tackle box handle on the front of the card, I used three of the extra compartments that were created when I cut out the detailed tray for the inside of the card.

Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were added to make the handle look like it was riveted onto the tackle box.
The inside of the card has two "trays" that pop up when you open the card. The "trays" are cut out of Crumb Cake cardstock using the Gone Fishing dies.

When you cut out the trays it works best if you cut the detailed tray die, the one with the compartments, twice and then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue glue them together.  Once they are glued together, then you can adhere it to the solid part of the tray.

The upper tray is the same as the bottom tray, except we are using only half of the tray.
Here's a front on look at the inside of the card.

The sentiment is from the retired Best Catch stamp set and has been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The lures and bobber were first stamped in Smoky Slate ink onto Basic White cardstock using the Gone Fishing stamp set.  Most of the lures were a two-step stamp and the colors that I used for the second step are listed in the supply list below.

The flasher was cut out using Silver Foil sheet.
