A Spooktacular “BOO” for Halloween!

It’s time for a little Halloween fun! Today’s card is all about keeping things simple while letting that fabulous Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper do most of the spooky work.

For the card base, I used Basic Black cardstock topped with the dark side of Basic Gray Two-Tone cardstock, which makes the perfect backdrop for the soft gray and white ghost pattern of the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper. I added the oversized “BOO”, cut from Basic Black cardstock using the Party Alphabet Dies. The large letters make a bold statement and really let the Halloween theme shine!

The little cat wearing the witch hat is one of my favorite details! It was cut using the Oh My Fright Dies and adds just the right amount of cute to this spooky card. The BOO letters were adhered to the card front using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, giving them a little extra height and making them pop against the patterned background.

The “TRICK OR TREAT” sentiment is from the Oh My Fright Stamp Set and has been stamped in Basic Black Hybrid ink.

A few black dots were added from the Adhesive-Backed Bats, Ghosts and Dots embellishments to complete the design.

A Little Halloween Surprise Inside

I kept the inside clean and simple with a “Happy Halloween” sentiment and the fun cloud of bats, both from the Oh My Fright Stamp Set. I love how the bats add a little bit of spooky movement without overwhelming the inside of the card.

This card is a great example of how a few bold elements can create a fun Halloween card without making it overly complicated. And honestly, who can resist a cute kitty in a witch hat?
