20 days of Christmas - Day 1

Welcome to day one of my 20 Days of Christmas.  I hope you enjoy the cards.

The cards featured in the 20 days of Christmas will go to the Long Term Care Unit at my local hospital to give to the residents in the unit.

This card is absolutely beautiful!

The snowflake card front is from the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper(DSP) and has been adhered onto a Blushing Bride card base.

The snowflake die from the Giving Gifts die set was used to make the front panel.  Adhesive Sheet was adhered to the back side of the Silver Foil sheet before the snowflakes were cut out to make it easier to adhere the snowflake panel to the ombre pink panel.

The ombre pink paper behind the snowflakes was made using one of the Ombre Gift Bags that I had opened up to make a single sheet of Ombre paper.  The panel was adhered onto the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment on the card front is from the Time of Giving stamp set and has been heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder onto Blushing Bride cardstock.

Rhinestone Jewels were added to the center of the snowflakes.
The sentiment and the snowflake design on the inside of the card are from the Time of Giving stamp set and has been stamped in Polished Pink ink.

Sparkle of the Season - Merry Christmas

Another beautiful card using the Sparkle of the Season Bundle.

The card was made using a Real Red card base and a Snowy White Velvet Sheet front panel.

The sentiment is from the Sparkle of the Season stamp set and was heat embossed with Real Red ink and Clear Embossing powder onto White Shimmer cardstock.

In order to stamp in the Real Red ink and have enough time to heat emboss before the ink dried, I first stamped my stamp in VersaMark ink and then stamped it in Real Red ink.  This prevented to ink from drying too fast and does not harm your colored stamp pad.

Here is a close up look at the wreath.  To make the wreath, two wreaths were cut out using Shimmery White cardstock, the Seasonal Swirls dies and the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine. The Seasonal Swirls dies are part of the Sparkle of the Season bundle.

To give the wreath some depth, the two wreaths were offset from each other a little bit and then adhered to the card front using tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The holly leaves were bent up slightly to add some dimension.

Red Rhinestone Jewels were adhered onto the wreath either in clusters of three or as a single jewel.

A Real Red 3/8" sheer ribbon was adhered to the bottom of the wreath with Mini Glue Dots.
A Basic White cardstock panel was adhered onto the inside of the card. The sentiment and holly branch on the inside of the card are from the Sparkle of the Season stamp set and have been stamped in Real Red ink.

Christmas Holiday Blog Hop

Welcome to Team Stamp It Groups Christmas Holiday Blog Hop! Whether you hopped onto my Blog from one of my teammates or started with my blog, I'm awfully glad you "hopped" by.

It's hard to believe that Christmas is only a little more than a month away.
Where has the year gone?

I was so happy to see the Sparkle of the Season Bundle came back in stock, I had been wanting to order it but just hadn't gotten around to it.  So jumped on the chance when it became available again.
This card was made using the Tidings of Christmas Designed Series Paper (DSP) along with the Sparkle of the Season Bundle.  The panels are adhered to an Evening Evergreen card base.

The top panel/label was cut out using the largest Seasonal Label die and then adhered onto the card front panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment used on the inside of the card is from the Sparkle of the Season stamp set and has been stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.

The "Merry Christmas" banner was heat embossed using White Embossing Powder and Misty Moonlight cardstock.  Once embossed, it was adhered to the card front panel with Stampin' Dimensionals in a "ripple effect".
From this view you can see how I made the banner have a rippled look.

Check back to my blog on Tuesday for another beautiful card made with the Sparkle of the Season Bundle.

I would love it if you would leave a comment or subscribe to my blog.  As an added incentive, if you leave a comment on my blog, and include your name and #stampitcontest in your comment, your name will be entered into a drawing to win the Looking Up card kit.
