Happy Thanksgiving Card with Autumn Opulence

Hello, friends! Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I’m sharing a card that’s filled with the rich colors of fall. The new Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper made this one come together quickly, and I love how elegant it looks.

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base. That deep plum is perfect for autumn. I ran the front through the Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folders, and the leaf texture adds a lot of interest without any extra effort. Next, I layered panels of Cajun Craze and Peaceful Pine cardstock. Those two colors pick up the warm pumpkin tones and the soft greens in the paper.

The focal panel is cut from the Autumn Opulence Specialty DSP. Its pumpkins, wheat, berries and little flowers on a plum background tie the whole card together. For the main focal point, I used one of the precut coordinating designs from the same paper pack. This painted pumpkin arrangement, with its creamy leaves and blooms, is already cut out for you, so all you have to do is adhere it!

“Happy Thanksgiving” and the banner come from the Thanks and Giving stamp set. I stamped them in Blackberry Bliss ink so they match the card base.

I always like to finish the inside of my cards. I layered a Basic White panel on top of a Blackberry Bliss panel, which gives me plenty of room to write a note. The sentiment is from the retired Amber Autumn stamp set, also stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink. In the bottom corner I added a little pumpkin that I fussy cut from the Autumn Opulence Specialty DSP. It’s a sweet surprise when the card is opened, and it uses up a scrap I would have thrown away!

Thanksgiving Cards for a Long Term Care Facility – One Sheet Wonder

I needed quite a few Thanksgiving cards for a Long Term Care facility, and this One Sheet Wonder was just what I needed. A single sheet of 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper makes 13 cards, so it’s quick, easy and great for making a big batch.

The template was designed by the talented Mary Knabe, who made hers with Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper. Mary created this template, so please visit her website for the full instructions on how to put these cards together.

I made mine with Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper. I think the rich purples, pumpkins and harvest florals worked beautifully for Thanksgiving. I hope these bring a smile to each of the residents who receive one!

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Thanksgiving!
