Halloween Blog Hop - BOO! A Frightfully Fun Halloween Card

Welcome to the Halloween Theme Blog Hop! I’m so glad you’re joining us for some creative inspiration. Today I’m sharing a fun and festive Halloween card featuring the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper and lots of spooky little details.

There’s something about Halloween cards that makes it perfectly acceptable to add BOO in big, bold letters!

For this card, I started with a Basic Black cardstock card base and added a layer of Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper. The orange spiderweb background makes the perfect backdrop for all the spooky elements.

The oversized BOO was cut from Basic Black cardstock using the Party Alphabet dies. I love how the large letters fill the card front and create a fun focal point.

The little ghosts peeking out from behind the letters are actually fussy cut from the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper. They were just too cute to leave on the sheet! I added a few bats, cut from Basic Black cardstock using the Oh My Fright dies, to give the ghosts some company.

For a little sparkle, I added Timid Tiger sequins from the Sunset Sparkle Sequins. They add just the right amount of Halloween shine without taking away from the bold design.

I carried the Halloween colors to the inside of the card, too. A Pumpkin Pie cardstock panel was adhered to the Basic Black card base, followed by a Basic White panel for the writing area.

The sentiment and the fun cloud of flying bats are both from the Oh My Fright stamp set and were stamped in Basic Black Hybrid ink. I love how the inside continues the spooky theme while still leaving plenty of room for a personal message.

This card was such a fun combination of bold letters, cute ghosts, flying bats, and a little sparkle. Sometimes a simple color combination of black, orange, and white is all you need to create a fabulous Halloween card!
