Happy Fall, Y’all – A Fun Fall Card with a Touch of Halloween

Fall crafting is always a favorite, and this card combines the warm colors of autumn with a fun little touch of Halloween! I love how the dark background makes the colorful fall leaves and witch's hat really stand out.

This card was inspired by a sample card on page 68 of the soon-to-be-released September–October 2026 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

For the card base, I used Basic Black cardstock. A strip of black-and-white striped paper from the Spooktacular Designer Series Paper runs vertically down the front, adding a fun graphic element.

The focal point was easy to create using pieces from the Harvest Hues Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. I layered the patterned fall-leaf banner with the witch’s hat, oak leaf, and the orange-and-black label. The witch's hat was adhered to the card front using Black Stampin' Dimensionals.

The “Happy Fall, Y’all” sentiment comes from the Harvest & Holly Mix & Match Specialty Ephemera Pack. I love the soft pink sentiment label against the bright orange banner—it adds just the right pop of color.

To finish the front, I added several small autumn-colored embellishments scattered around the design. They give the card a little extra dimension without overwhelming the focal point.

Inside the Card

For the inside, I used Cajun Craze and Basic White cardstock to create coordinating layers. A banner from the Harvest Hues Mix & Match Ephemera Pack adds a decorative touch along the bottom, carrying the fall theme from the front of the card to the inside.

This card is a great example of how Mix & Match Ephemera can make cardmaking quick and easy while still creating a beautifully layered design. Simply choose a few coordinating pieces, arrange them into a pleasing layout, and add a few embellishments for a finished look!
