Welcome to day twenty of my 20 days of Christmas series.
Hard to believe there are only 5 more days until Christmas, where has this year gone??!!
For the final card in the 20 Days of Christmas Series I thought I would make a shaker card using the beautiful Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper(DSP) and the Classic Cloche bundle and coordinating Cloche dome.
The little birds in this stamp set are just too cute.
To make the scene, the birds were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock. Once stamped they were colored using Light and Dark Soft Suede, Light Magenta Madness and Light So Saffron Stampin' Blends. After the birds were colored, I lightly colored over them with the Stampin' Blends Color Lifter to blend and soften the colors. The birds were then fussy cut, as well as the branches, which had been colored in Light and Dark Just Jade Stampin' Blends.
The bird stamp was stamped again on a 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" Basic White panel using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Light and Dark Just Jade Stampin' Blends were used to color the branches. The birds were not colored. Once the branches were colored the fussy cut branches were adhered to the panel using tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next, the birds were adhered onto the panel using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
The Just Jade card base has a Tidings of Christmas DSP panel adhered onto the front of it.
The top panel is also from the Tidings of Christmas DSP and has a Just Jade base. Once the top panel and base were adhered together, the cloche die from the Cloche dies was used to cut out the opening.
Next the Cloche Dome was adhered to the backside of the opening. Subtle Shimmer sequins were added to the inside of the dome and then the winter bird scene was added to the back of the top panel. The top panel was then adhered to the front panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.
To finish off the front of the card a White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon bow was adhered to the top of the Cloche dome using Mini Glue Dots. A small filigree band from the Cloche dies was cut out using a Just Jade cardstock that had been backed with a piece of Adhesive Sheet and placed under the cloche dome.
The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the Classic Cloche and Poinsettia Petals stamp sets. The snowflake swirl is from the Time of Giving stamp set. All have been stamped in Just Jade ink.
