20 Days of Christmas - Day 10

Welcome to day ten of my 20 days of Christmas.

The inspiration for this card came from a card I saw on Pinterest that was possibly done by Shayne Eddie.

The Painted Christmas Suite was used for this card.

The Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper(DSP) front panel had the right hand half of the panel embossed with the pine bough Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  Once embossed, the panel was adhered onto the Basic White card base.

The sentiment from the For Unto Us stamp set was stamped in Real Red ink onto a 4 1/8" x 2 3/8" Basic White panel in the lower right hand corner of the panel using the Stamparatus.  You will be using this same stamp and the Real Red ink to stamp the stamp in the same location on the Vellum panel.

The Vellum top panel is a  4 1/8" x 3 1/8" panel that has been embossed on the left side of the panel using the pine bough folder from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment on the right side of the panel is from the For Unto Us stamp set and has been stamped in Real Red ink.  I used the heat tool to help the ink dry on the vellum.  Adhere this Vellum panel to the Basic White  4 1/8" x 2 3/8" panel making sure to align the Merry Christmas sentiments and adhering in locations that would be hid by the pine boughs and the Merry Christmas sentiment.  This entire panel was adhered onto the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the pine boughs an Evening Evergreen Ombre Gift Bag was opened at the seams so that it made a single, flat piece of paper.  The upper half of the fuller die from the Christmas Pinecone die was used to cut the lighter colored ombre "paper" and adhered onto the card front panel placing the Multipurpose Liquid Glue only where the pinecones will be going leaving the pine boughs loose.  The upper half of the more detailed die from the Christmas Pinecone die was used to cut the darker colored ombre "paper" and adhered where the pinecones will be going, leaving the pine boughs loose.

The pinecones were cut out from the Christmas Pinecone die using Early Espresso cardstock for the base of the pinecone and Cinnamon Cider for the top layer.  I found the best way to cut out the pinecones was to first adhere the cardstock to Adhesive Strips and then die cut.  If you didn't have adhesive strip you could adhere them to the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Real Red 3/8" Sheer Ribbon bow was adhered in the middle of the pinecones using Mini Glue Dots.  Real Red Rhinestones were adhered in various locations on the card front.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the Whimsical Trees stamp set and has been stamped in Real Red ink.  The pinecone is from the Christmas Season stamp set and has been stamped in Early Espresso and Cinnamon Cider ink.  The pine bough is also from the Christmas Season stamp set and has been stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.
