Happy Thanksgiving with Autumn Opulence

Hello friends! Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, so today I’m sharing a card that pairs rich fall colors with a little gold shimmer. This card was inspired by a beautiful design I came across on Pinterest by Mary Deatherage. I loved her layout and had to try my own version!

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base, then added layers of Lost Lagoon and Basic White cardstock. The three panels on the front come from the gorgeous Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love how the plaid strip in the center breaks up the two floral prints. A strip of Blackberry Bliss Ribbon wraps across the middle and ties the whole design together.

The wreath is my favorite part! I heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder, then colored it with Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze and Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Blends. The gold outlines make the colors pop. I cut it out with one of the dies from the Spotlight on Nature dies.

The “Happy Thanksgiving” sentiment is from the Thanks & Giving stamp set. I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss ink and fussy cut it with my Detailed Scissors. Then I popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals so it stands out from the wreath.

On the inside, I layered a Basic White panel over Lost Lagoon cardstock and stamped a sentiment from the retired Amber Autumn stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink. A strip of Autumn Opulence DSP along the bottom carries the design through from the front.

This card would be a lovely way to let someone know how thankful you are for them this season. Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy crafting!
