A Batch of Spooky Treat Boxes

Halloween is one of my favorite times to craft, and this year I put together a set of four trick-or-treat boxes using the adorable Spooktacular Designer Series Paper and coordinating cardstock.

Each box has its own personality — a grinning jack-o'-lantern, a fanged vampire, a stitched-up Frankenstein, and a spooky skeleton — making them perfect for filling with candy, handing out as party favors, or tucking in a small treat for someone special.

How the Details Came Together

The "Trick or Treat" tag on each box started with the Oh My Fright stamp set, stamped in Basic Black Hybrid ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock for nice, crisp lines. I then cut it out with one of the dies from the Stitched Stocking dies set, which gave the tag that fun stitched banner shape instead of a plain rectangle.

For the finishing touch, I used a 1" circle punch to create the little curved indentation at the top of each box. It's a small detail, but it makes each box easier to open and gives the whole set a more polished look.
