Retirement Wishes

This card was made for a dear friend and co-worker who is retiring today!

Most of the product used on this card has been retired.

Balmy Blue cardstock was used for the card base.

The lady from the In The Moment stamp set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock, then colored using Stampin' Blends. Once the lady was colored, Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon and Crumb Cake ink were blended onto this panel using a Blending Brush and adhered onto the card base using Stampin' Seal.

For the top panel, a three inch Spotlight on Nature die was used to cut out the circle from Basic White cardstock to expose the lady on the panel behind. The top panel was colored using a Blending Brush along with Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon and Crumb Cake ink.

The palm trees are from the Beach Day dies and have been cut out using Granny Apple Green and Old Olive cardstock.

The Adirondack chair is from the Seasonal Layers dies and has been cut out using Real Red cardstock.

The sand castle and seashells are from the Beach Day stamp set and have been stamped in Crumb Cake ink.  The sandcastle was cut out using the coordinating Beach Day die.

The sentiment is from the Paradise Palms stamp set and has been stamped in Pecan Pie ink.  The sentiment label was cut out using one of the Deckled Rectangle dies that was adjusted on the cardstock to make it the size I needed and was adhered to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Once all the pieces above were added to the card front, it was adhered to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems were added randomly to the card front for accent.
The sentiment on the inside of the card is a combination of several sentiments I had found online and has been printed in Azure Afternoon onto Basic White cardstock.

The palm tree is from the Paradise Palms stamp set and has been stamped in Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie ink. Once the palm tree was added, this panel was adhered onto an Azure Afternoon panel and then to the card base.

Thanksgiving Theme Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp It Groups Thanksgiving Theme Blog Hop.
Whether you started with my blog or "hopped" over from one of my teammate’s blogs, I am happy you stopped by!

To make this card I used the Baby Wipe technique. I love this technique, you never know what you are going to get, but it always turns out awesome.  If you haven't had a chance to try this technique, you need to.
I used the Labels to Love and the Colorful Seasons stamp set with the coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies to make this card.  For the leaves and the chair, I used Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight and Gold Foil cardstock.  For complete instructions on how to make this card, click here!
This is what the baby wipe looked like when I was using it to create the leaves on my card. Who would have guessed that by just adding a few drops of re-inker together on a baby wipe that it would have produced the beautiful fall colors that it did.

Congratulations Carol Kirchgester!
