Tis the Season: A Winter Bouquet Card

Hello, friends! Today I'm sharing a Christmas card that came together almost by accident — and I love it when that happens. I had a leftover center panel from the all-inclusive Gilded Gallery Kit sitting on my desk, and rather than let it go to waste, I decided to build an entire card around it. The result is this soft, elegant "Tis the Season" bouquet card, inspired by a design on page 23 of the upcoming September–December 2026 Catalog.

The Inspiration

I'm always a little thrilled when a scrap of pretty paper turns into the starting point for a whole project. That leftover Gilded Gallery panel had just the right soft, neutral background to let a floral arrangement really pop, so I built the card's color story — Peaceful Pine, Cherry Cobbler red, and icy silver — around it.

The Details

For the background, I reached for the gorgeous All Wrapped Up Specialty Designer Series Paper, with its shimmery Peaceful Pine bow print in cool, wintry tones. It sets a quiet, elegant stage without competing with the focal image.

The bouquet itself is the star of the show. The individual sprigs of greenery, berries, and eucalyptus were cut using the Wrapped Greenery Dies and the All Wrapped Up Specialty Designer Series Paper, so they'd layer beautifully against that leftover Gilded Gallery panel. Once assembled, I popped the whole panel up on Stampin' Dimensionals for a bit of dimension and shadow play — it makes the bouquet feel like it's really sitting on the page.

For the sentiment on the front, I used the Magical Christmas Hot Foil dies in Silver Hot Foil. There's nothing quite like the gleam of hot foil against a matte background, and "Tis the Season" catches the light beautifully in person.

To finish off the front, I added a few Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Sequins tucked in among the greenery — just a touch of sparkle to mimic light catching on frosty leaves. And of course, no winter card is complete without ribbon: I wove in some Cherry Cobbler and White Striped Grosgrain Ribbon behind the focal panel for a classic candy-cane touch.

Inside, I kept things simple and cohesive. The sentiment is from the Stitched Stocking stamp set, stamped in Peaceful Pine ink, paired with a sweet sprig of greenery and berries from the All Wrapped Up Specialty Designer Series Paper in the corner to tie the inside back to the front.

Why I Love This Card

There's something so satisfying about a card that started with "what do I do with this leftover piece of paper?" and ended up feeling fully intentional. The layered dimension, the pop of hot-foiled silver, and that little wink of iridescent sparkle make this one feel special enough for a favorite person on your Christmas list — while the soft palette keeps it from feeling over the top.

A Sunny Twist on the Shaded Petals Kit

There's something about a bouquet of hand-cut flowers that just makes a birthday card feel special, and this one from the All-Inclusive Shaded Petals Kit turned out to be one of my favorite makes yet.

The Design

The card starts with a soft yellow patterned cardstock base, layered with a scalloped white circle panel that acts as the perfect backdrop for the flower arrangement. The blooms themselves are a lovely mix of sunny yellows, warm corals, and blush pink, layered in dimension with delicate green stems and leaves tucked beneath. A sprinkling of gold flecks scattered across the background adds just the right touch of sparkle without overwhelming the softer floral palette.

Making It My Own

While the kit comes together beautifully on its own, I wanted to give this one a little something extra. Instead of using the sentiment included in the kit, I swapped it out for a hot-foiled "Happy Birthday" using the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies in a rich Gold Foil. The high-shine metallic script adds a really elegant contrast against the matte, textured petals — it catches the light beautifully and gives the whole card a more polished, dimensional feel. I love how the gold in the sentiment echoes the gold foil centers I added to each flower, tying the whole design together.

Finishing Touches

Inside, the card carries the same soft yellow and white color scheme, with a simple Daffodil Delight sentiment from the Framed All Around stamp set, reading "Sending wishes for the happiest birthday" — clean, coordinated, and ready to send.

This project was a great reminder that even when you're working from a kit, there's always room to add a personal signature touch. Sometimes it's as simple as swapping one sentiment for a foiled version to completely change the feel of a card!

A Gilded Garden: Metallic Magic Birthday Card

This card was inspired by a project we made together in our Stampin' Up! Metallic Magic Class, and it turned out to be one of my favorite butterfly designs yet. There's something about pairing soft, moody blues with gleaming gold foil that just feels special — perfect for celebrating someone's birthday in style.

The Base

I started with Misty Moonlight cardstock as my foundation, stamping it all over with the All Aflutter stamp set in coordinating Misty Moonlight ink. This gives the card that soft, tone-on-tone butterfly background you can see peeking out along the top and bottom edges — subtle, but it adds so much texture.

The Focal Panel

The top panel is Everyday Essentials Mix and Match Designer Series Paper, with its dainty pink, yellow, and lavender florals set against a deep Misty Moonlight background. I die cut the center using the Classic Greetings die, then popped this whole panel up using Stampin' Dimensionals so it sits with real dimension above the base layer — you can see the shadow it casts, which I love.

The Sentiment

For the "happy birthday" greeting, I went all in on the metallic theme and hot foiled it in Gold Foil using the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Die. Foiling directly onto that die-cut opening lets the Misty Moonlight base show through behind the gleaming gold script, which creates a really striking contrast.

The Butterflies

The butterflies were the most fun part of this project. I hot foiled the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil dies in Gold Foil onto Basic White cardstock, then colored them in using Hydrangea Hue and Fresh Freesia ink with the coordinating Butterfly Flight Decorative Masks and a Blending Brush. The masks make it so easy to keep the color soft and controlled within each wing section, while the gold foil outlines keep everything crisp and shimmery.  The butterflies were then cut out using the coordinating Butterfly Flight dies.

Inside the Card

Continuing the theme on the inside, I added a strip of the Everyday Essentials DSP along the bottom and one more hot foiled butterfly for continuity. The sentiment — "Sending wishes for the happiest birthday" — is from the Framed All Around stamp set, stamped in Misty Moonlight ink to tie back to the base cardstock color.

The Finishing Touch

To finish things off, I tucked in a few Barely Blush 2026–2028 In-Color Dots here and there among the florals for a soft, glossy accent that catches the light along with all that gold foil.
