Beach Day #4

I retired on June 27 from the hospital I had worked at for almost 20 years (19 years and 8 months, to be exact😊).  One of my co-workers planned a surprise going away virtual party for me and our team.  We all work a hybrid position in either Washington, Oregon or Alaska, so meeting in person was not an option. The party was so much fun and we all had a great time.

Isn't it funny how before Covid we would have never thought of doing something like a virtual party and in all honesty it was Covid that brought our team so closely together.  I consider these ladies I work with my sisters and will miss working with them immensely.

I wanted to thank my co-worker who had planned the party and could think of no better way than to send her a card made using the Beach Day Bundle.

The card starts with a Thick Basic White cardstock card base, followed by a Basic White cardstock panel that had been colored on the top half of the panel using a Blending Brush with Azure Afternoon and Coastal Cabana ink.

Next, a 3 1/2" x 4" Basic White cardstock "wave" panel was cut out using the wave die from the Beach Day dies.  Once cut out the little removable wave pieces were removed from the panel.  The panel was then colored with a Blending Brush using Pool Party and Crumb Cake ink.  This panel was adhered onto the panel above and the little removable waves were adhered back into the cut out they were removed from.

The heart die from the Friends for Life dies was used to cut out the heart on the Crumb Cake top panel. Once adhered to the card front panel, the Beach Day bundle was used to decorate the card front.

The Thank You sentiment is from the Friends for Life stamp set and has been stamped in Pecan Pie ink.

Wink of Stella was added to the top of the waves as well as on the seashells and the top of the sandcastle.

Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls were randomly added to the card front.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.

The sentiment is from the Seaside Wishes stamp set and has been stamped in Pecan Pie ink.

A Blending Brush was used in the lower right hand corner of the card to add a little Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana ink.  Once the color was added, the sandcastle along with the sand and seashells were stamped in Pecan Pie ink.

Wink of Stella was added to the seashells and to the top of the sandcastle.

Beach Day #3

Oh my goodness!  I had so much fun making this card using the
Beach Day Bundle.
Here is a look at the card from a different angle.

The lifeguard shack, umbrella, chair, surf board, ball and seagulls were all stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock and then colored using Stampin' Blends.

The "sand" is Crumb Cake cardstock that has been cut out with one of the Beach Day dies.  The sand castle and the seashells were stamped using Pecan Pie ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock and then fussy cut. The seashells were colored using Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

The "sand" behind the sand castle was also stamped using the seashells stamp and Pecan Pie ink.

The water was made using one of the dies from the Beach Day dies along with Azure Afternoon cardstock and Basic White cardstock.

The palm tree was cut out using Basic White cardstock and the Beach Days dies.  Once cut out, the tree was colored using Stampin' Blends.

Sunny Days Designer Series Paper (DSP), retired, was adhered onto the Pool Party cardstock background panel.
Here's one more look at yet another angle of the card.

The base of the card was colored using Crumb Cake and Azure Afternoon
Stampin' Blends to help with the transition from sand to ocean.

Thoughtful Journey DSP was used around the bottom of the card.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card today.
