Mother's Day 2025 Gift

These purses were this years' Mother's Day gift for the ladies in our local hospitals Long Term Care Unit.

The Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP) was a freebie's from the Sale-A-Bration promotion and is no longer available.

The flower in the middle was made using the back side of the DSP that was used to make the purse, along with the new Pretty Florals dies.

The purses were made following a video found on Pinterest, which is linked here.

When I made the purses, I used a 12" x 12" DSP sheet and cut it down to 8 1/2" x 11".  Save the left over pieces, you will use them to make the flower, purse latch and handle.

The DSP was scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" on the short side.  On the long side, the DSP was scored at 1/2", 2 5/8", 4 3/4" and 6 1/4".

The purse latch was cut from the DSP at 5 1/4" x 1/2" and scored on both ends at 1/2".

For the purse handle, the DSP was cut at 12" x 1/2".
Here's a look at each of the colors that I made the purses.

The purses were filled with an assortment of Lindt Chocolates.

I hope you enjoyed my project for today!

Mother's Day Card #12

This card is #12 in a series of Mother's Day cards made for the ladies in the Long Term Care Unit at the hospital where I work.

This card was inspired by a card on Pinterest that was made by Amy Koenders.

The Flight and Airy Designer Series Paper (DSP) used to make this card is no longer available.

The card starts with a Boho Blue cardstock card base, followed by a Flight and Airy DSP panel.  The next panel is Boho Blue and has a Basic White cardstock panel on top of it that has been embossed using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. The top panel is a piece of Flight and Airy DSP.

The bird and branches were fussy cut from the Flight and Airy DSP.  Once cut out, the scene adhered onto the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Dresses to Impress stamp set (retired) and has been stamped in Boho Blue ink onto Basic White cardstock and then fussy cut.  It was adhered onto the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Iridescent Pearl Jewels were adhered randomly around the
card for accent.

The inside of the card has a Basic White cardstock panel adhered to the
card base.

The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and has been stamped in Boho Blue ink.

The bird scene was fussy cut from the same sheet of Flight and Airy DSP and adhered onto the inside of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.  If you are looking for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would love it if you chose me as your demonstrator!  When you place an order in my online store you can earn Stampin’ Rewards that can be used for free and discounted products, or used toward your Starter Kit, if you are interested in becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator
