This card was inspired by a card on Pinterest that was made by Dawn Griffith of Dawns Stamping Thoughts.
The card is called a Double Decker Pop Out.
This is card is #12 in the series, all 12 of the cards were made for the Long Term Care Unit at the hospital where I work for Father's Day.
The Balmy Blue cardstock card base has been cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4".
Misty Moonlight cardstock was adhered to the front panel, followed by Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper (DSP).
To make the front panel flap, Basic White cardstock was colored with Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue ink using a Blending Brush. Once colored, Black Baker's Twine was tied onto the fish hook. The fish hook was then adhered to the card front panel flap. The fish hook is one of the dies in the Gone Fishing die set.
The Vellum "water" was cut out using the largest Ripple die and the Wave die from the Gone Fishing die set. Once cut out, Multipurpose Liquid Glue was spread over the back of the Vellum using a baby wipe and then adhered onto the card front panel.
The sentiment on the Vellum "water" is from the retired Best Catch stamp set and has been stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.
The bobber was slipped into the ripple and then adhered in place using a Stampin' Dimensional. Once adhered, Baker's Twine from the fish hook was tied to the bobber and then the Baker's Twine was adhered to the back of the card panel.
This panel was backed with a Misty Moonlight cardstock, followed by Balmy Blue cardstock and then adhered onto the card front.
Misty Moonlight cardstock was adhered to the back panel of the card base and then topped with Let's Go Fishing DSP.
The Very Vanilla middle panel was adhered to a Misty Moonlight panel. The middle panel was then adhered onto the card base using a square tube. The two fish were fussy cut from the Let's Go Fishing DSP and adhered onto the middle panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Gone Fishing stamp set and has been stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. This sentiment could easily be changed to a Happy Birthday sentiment.
The fish hook has been cut out using Silver Foil and the Gone Fishing dies.
