Waves of Inspiration Sunset

This sunset theme card was made using the Waves of Inspiration and Paradise Palms stamp sets.

The wave was stamped onto the Thick Basic White card base using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Once embossed a Blending Brush was used to apply Pool Party ink all over the wave and a little bit above the wave.  Next, Bermuda Bay ink was applied to the middle of the wave, followed by a smaller amount of Pacific Point.  The lastly, just a tiny amount of Night of Navy ink was added to the very center of the wave.  Once all the colors were added, Pool Party was brushed over the entire wave one last time.

The sunset was made using Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape and Night of Navy ink.  The ink was applied using a Blending Brush.

The front panels were colored around the edges with Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape and Night of Navy ink around the top two-thirds.  The bottom third was colored with Soft Suede and Sahara Sand ink. Once colored the second and third to the largest die from the Layering Diorama dies was used to cut out the two panels.  Each of these panels were adhered onto the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The palm trees are from the Paradise Palms stamp set.  The top of the palm trees were stamped in Old Olive ink onto Old Olive cardstock and then cut out using the coordinating die from the Palms dies.  The tree trunks were stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink onto Cinnamon Cider cardstock and then also cut out using the coordinating die from the Palms dies.

The tree tops were adhered to the tree trunks using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. One of the palm trees was adhered onto the side of the card front panel using Stampin' Seal, the other palm was adhered to the palm tree behind it using a Stampin' Dimensional.

The pelican from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set was stamped in Smoky Slate ink.  The pelican's beak and feet were colored using a Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends.  The pelican's head was colored using a Light So Saffron Stampin' Blends.  The pelican's body was colored using a Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.

The piling the pelican is standing on was also stamped in Smoky Slate ink. The piling was then colored in Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.  The rope around the piling was colored in Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. The pelican and piling were cut out using the coordinating Waves dies and adhered onto the front panel using Stampin' Seal.
