Gold Foiled Sympathy Card

There’s something undeniably striking about the contrast of gold and black, and this card leans fully into that elegance. The rich, dramatic background paired with delicate gold foiled florals creates a design that feels both bold and beautifully refined—perfect for expressing heartfelt sympathy.

For this card, the floral pattern takes center stage. The gold foil outlines bring a soft shimmer and highlight every petal and leaf, giving the design a timeless, almost heirloom quality. To deepen the contrast and add drama, the background was carefully colored using Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. This technique allows the florals to truly pop, as the dark backdrop enhances the brilliance of the gold detailing.

The layered look adds to the sophistication. A slim Gold Foil cardstock panel frames the floral panel, tying everything together and echoing the foiling in the design. The card base in Basic Black grounds the piece, giving it a polished and cohesive finish.

The sentiment, “With Sympathy,” is heat embossed in gold on a black label, creating a simple yet powerful focal point. Its placement across the lower portion of the card ensures it stands out without overwhelming the intricate background.

This card is a beautiful reminder that sympathy designs don’t have to be overly soft or muted. Sometimes, a bold contrast and a touch of shine can convey warmth, care, and sincerity in an equally meaningful way.

Red and Black Valentine

This Valentine card was made using the Heartfelt stamp set with the coordinating Heart Punch Pack and the Many Hearts dies.

Both the smaller Real Red and Tuxedo Black hearts were stamped with heart stamps from the Heartfelt stamp set using the Stamparatus to make sure the ink evenly covered the Whisper White cardstock. Once stamped, the smaller hearts were cut out using the coordinating Heart Punch. The Heartfelt stamp set with coordinating Heart Punch Pack is available as a bundle or can be purchased separately.

The larger Real Red and Tuxedo Black hearts were cut out using the Many Hearts dies and the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. The larger hearts were adhered onto the True Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) front panel using Seal. The smaller hearts were adhered onto the larger hearts using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The True Love DSP front panel was next adhered to a Real Red panel using Seal. After adhering the panels together, Real Red 3/8" Double Stitched Satin Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and tied into a knot. This panel was then adhered to a Whisper White card base.

Hugs and Kisses

This Valentine card was made using the new 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper that is only available right now if you sign up to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator

during Sale-A-Bration.

The Regal 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper was adhered to a Flirty Flamingo panel which was than adhered onto a Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The hearts were stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink and are from the Heartfelt stamp set. The Larger heart was cut out using the coordinating scalloped Heart punch and adhered on to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Heartfelt stamp set and Heart Punch pack are available as a bundle or can be purchased separately. Once stamped the small heart was fussy cut out and then brushed over with Clear Wink of Stella to give it a little bit of glimmer and then adhered to the larger heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Heart to Heart stamp set and was cut out using the Tasteful Labels dies. A second label was cut out in Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the same die. Once cut out it was cut in half and adhered to the back of the Whisper White label with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, offsetting it a little bit so you could see the Flirty Flamingo label just barely on the ends. Three Pearl Jewels were colored using a Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends and allowed to dry. Once dry, they were adhered onto the front of the label. Using the Stampin' Up! Take Your Pick tool worked great for adding the pearls onto the label.

The Flirty Flamingo X's and O's at the bottom of the card are from the Many Hearts Die set. Adhesive Sheet was added to the Flirty Flamingo cardstock before the X's and O's were cut out, which made adhering them to the card very easy.
