Scottie Dog

Still on that quick, easy, yet very cute Christmas cards kick!!

This card was really fun to make and was made using the rubber band technique. If you have never tried the rubber band technique and are wanting plaid cardstock you should give it a try.
The technique is easy, all you need to do is wrap rubber bands around a clear stamping block, add ink and stamp it on the cardstock. For this card a Clear Block F and Clear Block I were used. The Clear Block F has 1/4" wide rubber bands.  The Clear Block I has one 1/8" wide rubber band.

This card has a Basic Black cardstock card base.

The next panel is Real Red cardstock that has been stamped in the rubber band technique using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  The card was stamped with the F Block vertically and then the panel was turned 90 degrees and stamped again.  Next the I Block was stamped in-between the thicker plaid lines.

The Scottie dog was cut out using the Scottie Dog Punch and Basic Black cardstock.  A white gel pen was used to draw the eye on the dog.

The bow was cut out using the Scottie Dog Punch and Red Glimmer Paper.

Merry Christmas was stamped onto Real Red cardstock using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed using Basic Black Embossing Powder.  Once embossed, the sentiment was fussy cut.

The Scottie Dog and sentiment were adhered onto a Real Red cardstock tag cut out from the Celebration Tags dies.  The tag was adhered onto the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Matte Black Dots were added to the tag along with Black and White Plaid Gingham Ribbon for accent.
A Basic White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

The Scottie Dog is from the Christmas Scottie stamp set and has been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Scottie stamp set and has been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Red Rhinestone Jewels were adhered around the sentiment for accent.
