It's a Luigi Birthday!

My grandson recently turned 9 and had a Luigi themed birthday party.  

This is the card I made for is birthday.

Most of the products used to make this card are retired.

The base card was free-hand fussy cut to the shape I was looking for, as were the hat shapes.  The bill of the hat was adhered to the base hat using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The circle with the "L" in the middle was made using one of the circle dies from the Stylish Shapes dies.  The "L" is from the Little Letters Thinlits dies (retired).

The eyebrows were made using a 1 1/4" Circle Punch (retired) by cutting the circle once and then cutting it again to make the thin eyebrows.

The eyes were made using a 1 3/4" x 7/8" Oval Punch (retired), a 3/4" x 15/16" Oval Punch (retired), a 1/2" Circle Punch (retired) and 1/8" Circle Punch (retired).

The side-burns were free-hand fussy cut.

A 1 1/4" Circle Punch (retired) was used to make the nose.  The nose was adhered onto the face using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The mustache was free-hand fussy cut.

The mouth and teeth were free-hand fussy cut.  The tongue was made using the large heart from the Country Bouquet Punch.

For the inside of the card "Luigi says" was cut out using the Little Letters Thinlits dies (retired).

"Happy" is from the Word Wishes dies (retired).

"9" is from the Alphabet A LA Mode dies.  The "TH" is from the Little Letters Thinlits dies (retired).

"Birthday" and the "!" are from the Well Written Framelits dies (retired).

Hope you enjoyed my card today.  Most of the items I used to make this card are, like I said above, retired, however, if you did not have on-hand the items I used you could improvise with Layering Circle dies and Alphabet A LA Mode or Playful Alphabet dies.
