A couple of months ago, our team was kidding one of our teammates about how much time had been devoted to a project that she had been working on. The project has had a lot set-backs and frustrations. She commented that the project felt almost like birthing a baby. Another teammate replied "yeah it's more like an elephant baby it's been so long".
We have continued to kid her about birthing an elephant and this last week the project finally received approval and was able to launch. When I saw this Elephant Parade Bundle in the 2022 - 2023 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog, I knew I had to make her a congratulations card. This is what I came up with.
Parakeet Party 2022 - 2024 In Color Designer Series Paper (DSP) was used for the card base.
The elephants were colored with Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.
The butterflies and the balloons have a piece of very, thinly cut Window Sheet adhered to the back of the die-cut cardstock. The Window Sheet gave the butterflies and balloons added stability and since it is clear, it is hard to see it unless you really look to see what is holding them up.
The sentiment is from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp set.
Here is what the card looks like looking down at it from the top.
The card also folds flat and will easily fit into a regular A2 envelope.
