Easter Friends Card - Day 3

This Easter card is the third card in a series of five Easter cards.

The card was made using the Easter Friends stamp set. The Easter Friends stamp set is available in the January - June 2022 Mini Catalog.

The masking technique was used to make this card.  The chick was stamped first on the card front panel using Smoky Slide ink, then stamped again on a piece of post-it note.  The post-it note chick was fussy cut and then placed over the chick that had been stamped on the front panel.

The duckling was the second to be stamped and was stamped in Smoky Slate ink.  Next a mask was made for the duckling, following the same directions as above for the chick and placed over the duckling.

The bunny was stamped in Smoky Slate ink and the masks on the chick and duckling were removed.

The bunny was colored using a Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.   Once colored, I colored over the bunny again using a Stampin' Blends Color Lifter.  I love the way the Color Lifter blends the Stampin' Blends ink.

The chick was colored using a Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.  The beak and feet were colored with a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends.  The chicks eyes were colored with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

The duckling was colored using a Light and Dark Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.  The ducklings beak and feet were colored with a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends.  The ducklings eyes were colored with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

As you can see, using the masking technique gives the appearance that the chick and duckling are in front and the bunny is in the back.

The grass was stamped in Garden Green ink and is from the Easter Friends stamp set.

The Happy Easter sentiment is from the Easter Friends stamp set and has been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp all of the images and sentiments on this card.

The Basic White front panel was cut out using the largest rectangle in the Stitched So Sweetly die set.

The flowered paper is from the Pattern Party Host Designer Series Paper(DSP).  The next layer is Flirty Flamingo cardstock, followed by Crushed Curry cardstock.  The card base is Thick Basic White cardstock.
