Beach Day #2

This card was made using the Beach Day bundle and the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The card starts with a Boho Blue cardstock card base, followed by a Crumb Cake cardstock panel that has been embossed using the So Swirly Embossing Folder.

The scene in the circle is a piece of the Thoughtful Journey DSP that has been cut out using one of the Encircled in Nature dies.

The sailboat and dolphins are from the Seaside Wishes stamp set and have been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The frame around the scene was cut out using Early Espresso cardstock and the Encircled in Nature dies.

The flowers and greenery at the bottom of the frame were cut out using Basic White cardstock and the Encircled in Nature dies.  Once cut out they were colored with Petunia Pop and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.

The shells were cut out of Basic White cardstock using the Beach Day dies and then colored using Light and Dark Peach Pie, Boho Blue, Pretty in Pink and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends.

The starfish from the Seaside Wishes stamp set was first stamped in Daffodil Delight ink onto Basic White cardstock and then stamped again using Cajun Craze ink.  Once stamped, the starfish was cut out using the coordinating die from the Seaside Wishes dies.

The sentiment is from the Beach Day stamp set and has been stamped onto Crumb Cake cardstock using Early Espresso ink.

Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls were added randomly to the card front for accent.
The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the Beach Day Stamp set and has been stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock.

The sand castles are from the Beach Day stamp set and has been stamped in Pecan Pie ink.

Under the Moon Sympathy Card

Unfortunately, I needed to make a sympathy card this week for a dear friend of mine who lost her sister.  My friend likes to go to the beach, so I thought this would be a fitting card for her.

This card was inspired by a card on Pinterest that was made by Rachel Woollard.

The card starts with a Night of Navy card base, followed by a Blueberry Bushel cardstock panel that has been cut out using one of the Deckled Rectangles dies.

The Blueberry Bushel panel has been wrapped with Linen Thread.

The Basic White cardstock top panel has been cut out using one of the Deckled Rectangles dies.

The sky in the circle was stamped using one of the Under the Moon stamps directly onto the top panel using Azure Afternoon ink.  The small circle was colored using a Sponge Dauber and Daffodil Delight ink.

The sky was stamped again onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Smoky Slate ink and then fussy cut. Daffodil Delight ink was added along the edge using a Sponge Dauber.  The dolphin from the Under the Moon stamp set was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The sky was colored with a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink.

Using a masking technique the clouds from the Under the Moon stamp set have been stamped in Smoky Slate ink.

The water was stamped by applying Balmy Blue ink and then using a Sponge Dauber to blend Blueberry Bushel along the edges of the stamp. Daffodil Delight ink was added to the center of the water using a Sponge Dauber.  The dolphin has been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The sentiment is from the Unbounded Love stamp set using Blueberry Bushel ink.
Here's a look at the inside of the card.

The sentiment is from the Unbounded Love stamp set and has been stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink.

The Basic White and Blueberry Bushel panels have been cut out using the Deckled Rectangles dies.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card today.
