Coneflower Celebrations

I absolutely love how this card turned out. This card was made using the Carved Wood Technique.

I've been seeing this technique on Pinterest for a couple of months and just recently decided to give it a try.

The card starts with a Daffodil Delight cardstock card base, followed by an Early Espresso panel.

The Basic White cardstock top panel was embossed using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder. Once embossed, the de-bossed side of the Basic White cardstock panel was "inked" using a Pecan Pie ink pad, just make sure you hold the ink pad flat and lightly rub on the ink. Next, an Early Espresso ink pad was lightly wiped over the now Pecan Pie colored de-bossed cardstock panel. Ink might get on some of the flower parts, but that's okay, it just makes the card look more "wood carved".

After the background colors were added, the flowers were colored using Light Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, and Darling Duckling Stampin' Blends Markers.  The leaves were colored using a Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Marker.

The flower in the center of the card is from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set. This flower has been stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock, then cut out using the coordinating Coneflower Celebrations die.

Once cut out, the flower was colored with Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, Calypso Coral, Peach Pie, SU400 and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers.  The flower was adhered to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.  The stem and leaves were adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is from the Charming Day stamp set and has been stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Basic White cardstock.  The sentiment panel has been backed with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock followed by Daffodil Delight cardstock.
For the inside of the card, an Early Espresso cardstock panel was added to the card base, followed by a Basic White cardstock panel.

The sentiment is from the retired Sunny Sentiments stamp set and has been stamped in Early Espresso ink.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today!
