Today, I’m excited to share a delightful handmade card that brings together soft neutrals, earthy greens, and adorable fussy-cut details. Let’s dive into the layers that make this design so special!
Building the Base
I started with a Basic Beige cardstock base, adding a rich Old Olive cardstock panel for a touch of earthy contrast. To introduce some cozy charm, I layered a piece from the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP)—because who doesn’t love a classic plaid?
Adding Dimension & Detail
For the focal panel, I used the Storybook Moments Specialty DSP, backing it with Old Olive cardstock before adhering it to the card front. The rustic die-cut fence, also from the Storybook Moments DSP, adds a whimsical touch, making it feel like a true storybook scene!
The sweetest part? The bunnies! 🐰 I fussy-cut these adorable critters from the Storybook Moments DSP and popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra depth.
Sentiment & Finishing Touches
The sentiment, from the Storybook Friends stamp set, is stamped in Old Olive ink on Basic Beige cardstock. To make it stand out, I framed it with an Old Olive cardstock panel that ties the whole design together.
For a touch of elegance, I added Antique Pearls—because a little sparkle never hurts! ✨
Inside the Card
The inside carries the same warm color scheme, with an Old Olive cardstock layer and a Basic Beige panel for writing your heartfelt message. To complete the look, I added a strip of Timeless Plaid DSP on an Old Olive cardstock panel—cohesion at its finest!
I hope today’s card inspires you to create something magical!
