This has got to be one of the cutest stamp sets of the season! I made this card for my grandson, it is a slider card with a couple of wobbles added to give the card lots of motion.
This card was made using the new Party Puffin stamp set. This stamp set will be available starting today, May 4, 2021, with the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog launch.
To make this card the Basic White front panel "sand" was colored using a Stampin' Blending brush and Crumb Cake ink. The "water" or "sky" was made using the Stampin' Blending brush and Coastal Cabana ink on the lower part near the "sand" and Bermuda Bay ink on the upper part of the panel.
The Classic Label punch was used to make the slot for the slider. To help the slider opening blend a little better with the card, I colored a 2" x 3" piece of Basic White cardstock using Coastal Cabana ink and a Stampin' Blending Brush. This was then adhered to a Basic Black cardstock panel making sure it aligned with the opening for the slider on the front panel.
The slider mechanism was made by cutting two circles using a 3/4" Circle Punch and a Window Sheet. Once punched out, adhere together two Stampin' Dimensionals, then adhere the layered dimensional between the two window sheet circles. Slide this mechanism into the slider slot making one window sheet circle on the back side of the front panel, the layered dimensionals are in the slot and the other window sheet circle is on the front side of the front panel.
The puffins were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored using Dark Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends. The party hat was colored using Light Soft Succulent and Light Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends. The fish was colored using Dark Soft Succulent and Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends. The fish and the black part of the puffins were colored with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter.
The spinner puffin was adhered onto the spinner mechanism using Mini Glue Dots. The other two puffins were adhered onto the card using a wobble. The fish was adhered to the card front using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional. Genial Gems were adhered randomly around the card front.
The sentiment is from the Party Puffin stamp set and has been stamped in Early Espresso ink.
The front panel was adhered onto the Basic Black cardstock panel using Black Stampin' Dimensionals. This panel was then adhered onto the Bermuda Bay card base using Stampin' Seal.
For the Basic White inside panel of the card, the puffin was stamped and colored as described above. The fish were colored using Light and Dark Soft Succulent, Dark Polished Pink, Dark Fresh Freesia and Light Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends.
The sentiment is from the Party Puffins stamp set and has been stamped in Bermuda Bay ink. The panel was adhered to the card base using Stampin' Seal.
