Welcome to Team Stamp It Groups Spring Fling Blog Hop! Whether you hopped onto my Blog from one of my teammates or started with my blog, I'm awfully glad you "hopped" by.
I don't know about you but I can hardly wait for spring to get here. For some reason, strawberries made me think of spring.
Red, fat, juicy strawberries. YUM! The only way to make this card anymore yummier would be to add smell-a-vision.
This card was made by randomly stamping the flower and stem stamp from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock. Once stamped the leaves were colored with an Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blend. The centers of the flowers were colored with Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. This panel was adhered onto a Pear Pizazz panel, which was then adhered onto a Basic White card base.
The stamp for the strawberries is a two-step stamp. The strawberries were first stamped using the background stamp and Poppy Parade ink onto Basic White cardstock. Then using Crumb Cake ink and the detail strawberry stamp the second layer of the strawberry was added. Using the Stamparatus made lining up the two strawberry stamps a breeze.
The strawberry stems and leaves are also a two-step stamp. The background leaf and stem stamps were stamped in Pear Pizazz ink onto Basic White cardstock. The detailed leaf and stem stamps were stamped over the Pear Pizazz leaf in Old Olive ink.
The flowers were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and then the centers were colored with Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.
Once the strawberries, stems and leaves were colored, they were cut out using the coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch.
The sentiment, which was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock, is from the Many Messages stamp set and was cut out using the coordinating Messages dies.
The inside of the card was stamped with the flower and stem stamp and colored as described above.
