Spring Fling Blog Hop

Welcome to Team Stamp It Groups Spring Fling Blog Hop! Whether you hopped onto my Blog from one of my teammates or started with my blog, I'm awfully glad you "hopped" by.

I don't know about you but I can hardly wait for spring to get here.  For some reason, strawberries made me think of spring.

Red, fat, juicy strawberries. YUM! The only way to make this card anymore yummier would be to add smell-a-vision.

This card was made by randomly stamping the flower and stem stamp from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock.  Once stamped the leaves were colored with an Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blend.  The centers of the flowers were colored with Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.  This panel was adhered onto a Pear Pizazz panel, which was then adhered onto a Basic White card base.

The stamp for the strawberries is a two-step stamp.  The strawberries were first stamped using the background stamp and Poppy Parade ink onto Basic White cardstock.  Then using Crumb Cake ink and the detail strawberry stamp the second layer of the strawberry was added. Using the Stamparatus made lining up the two strawberry stamps a breeze.

The strawberry stems and leaves are also a two-step stamp.  The background leaf and stem stamps were stamped in Pear Pizazz ink onto Basic White cardstock.  The detailed leaf and stem stamps were stamped over the Pear Pizazz leaf in Old Olive ink.

The flowers were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and then the centers were colored with Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.

Once the strawberries, stems and leaves were colored, they were cut out using the coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch.

The sentiment, which was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock, is from the Many Messages stamp set and was cut out using the coordinating Messages dies.
The inside of the card was stamped with the flower and stem stamp and colored as described above.

Dropping By!

I love this card, it just makes me smile every time I look at it.  This card was made using the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick bundles.

The Basic White front panel was colored using Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray and Misty Moonlight ink using a Blending Brush.  Next, the panel was embossed using the Stitched with Whimsy dies and then adhered onto the Pretty Peacock card base.

The corn stock was cut out using Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  The "corn" was cut out using Bumblebee cardstock.  The "husk" on the corn is vellum that was colored using a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend and then cut out.  The corn die is from the Chick dies, as was the chicken coop.  The chicken coop was colored using Dark Real Red, Dark Soft Suede and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends. The fence was cut out of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and is from the Birthday Chick dies.

The chickens were colored using Light and Dark Smoky Slate, Dark Real Red and Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends.  The chicken with the balloon is from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set and is cut out using the coordinating Birthday Chick die and was adhered to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. The balloon is colored with Dark and Light Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends.
The other chicken is from the Hey Chick stamp set and is cut out using the coordinating Chick die.
The chicken on the inside of the card is from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set and has been colored with Dark and Light Smoky Slate and Real Red Stampin' Blends.  The cupcake has been colored with Dark and Light Flirty Flamingo, Dark Pretty Peacock and Light Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.
