Luminaries for Christmas

These luminaries were made for the Long Term Care Unit at our local hospital.
The jars are regular mason jars that have been painted using Gesso and then immediately sprinkled with glitter.

Once the glitter dried, they were sprayed with a Craft Varnish that was made for glitter to help keep the glitter on the jar.

The sprigs of evergreens are from Amazon and were glued on to the jar using a hot glue gun.

The last step was wrapping a piece of Jute around the top of the jar and tying it in a bow.
A strand of Fairy Lights was added to the inside of the jar to make the jar shimmer.

Hope you liked my project for today!
