Patriotic Blog Hop

Welcome to the Team Stamp It Groups Patriotic Blog Hop.  Whether you started with my blog or "hopped" over from one of my teammate's blogs, I am happy you stopped by!
I decided to try something different for this Blog Hop and made a
4th of July sampler.
I have never attempted to make a sampler before.  It was fun trying to figure out what to use and where to put it.  The finished size of this sampler is
8 1/2" x 8 1/2", if I were to do it over again, I would change the size to 8"x 8" or 10"x 10".  My plan was to mount the sampler in a 9" x 9" frame, however, I was unable to locate a frame that size.
The background for the Celebrate section of the sampler is from the new Twinkle, Twinkle Designer Series Paper.
Star garland was used for the sparks on the fireworks.
The banner was made using the Pick a Pennant stamp set along with the coordinating Playful Pennants Framelits.
The water die from the Lakeside framelits make an awesome flag along with the new Twinkle adhesive-backed sequins.
It's amazing what you can do with a scallop punch and a couple of
circle punches.
The Red and Blue Glimmer paper were made by coloring the new
Sparkle Glimmer paper with Real Red and Pacific Point Stampin' Write Markers.  The Real Red Stampin' Write Marker colored the Glimmer paper relatively quickly and easily.  I had to apply several layers of the Pacific Point Stampin' Write Marker in order to get the color to look dark enough.
The background for the Bicycle is from the new
Best Route Designer Series Paper.
Click here for instructions on how to make this sampler. All of the products I used to make this card are available at my online store.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog and looking at my project.  I would love it if you would leave a comment or subscribe to my blog.  As an added incentive, if you leave a comment on my blog and include your name and #stampitcontest in your comment, your name will be entered into a drawing to win the
Lots of Happy Card Kit.  The Lots of Happy card kit is one of the all-inclusive card kits that are offered by Stampin' Up! and includes everything you need except for the adhesive.
The winner of last month's Team Stamp It Father's Day Theme Blog Hop
was Deb Schuh!
Congratulations Deb!
