Find Your Inspiration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Team Stamp It group Blog Hop.  This month's blog theme is "Find your Inspiration" featuring stamp sets from the new 2016-17 Stampin' Up! catalog.  I am glad you stopped by and hope you enjoy the card I made for you.
I love this card, I know I say this about every card.  The photo really does not do the card justice.  The inspiration for this card came from Stampin' Up's demonstrator magazine called Stampin' Success.  This card was made using the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set along with the coordinating Blossom Builder Punch and the Picture Perfect stamp set.  Both the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp set and the Picture Perfect stamp set are 2-step stamp sets, which really add to the dimension of the flowers and the hummingbird.  This card has a Pool Party cardbase with a Vellum front panel.  The hummingbird is actually a 4-step stamp.  The first layer of the hummingbird was stamped with Old Olive ink onto the Vellum cardstock front panel.  The next layer was Rose Red ink.  I then stamped the third layer with Island Indigo ink with the final layer with Chocolate Chip ink.  The sentiment and the base layer of the flower petals are stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Sweet Sugarplum ink.  The flower petals are a 3-step stamp, after stamping the base color in Sweet Sugarplum, I stamped the next two layers in Rich Razzleberry ink.  The flower stems are a 2-step stamp. Using Old Olive ink, stamp first on a piece of scratch paper and then onto the Vellum card front.  Stamp the second stem layer again with Old Olive ink.  Follow this same sequence with the flower base and leaf stamps using Old Olive ink.  Punch out the flower petals, the flower base and the leaves using the Blossom Builder Punch.  Adhere the flower petals together.  Fold the flower base and adhere to the flower petals.  "Finger curl" the flower petals to give them dimension.  Add the flowers to the Vellum card front using 2 layers of Stampin' Dimensionals.  Fold leaves in half lengthwise and adhere the leaves to the stem of the flower using Mini Glue Dots.  Strategically place Mini Glue Dots, where they will not be visible, on the Vellum card front and attach to the Pool Party card base.  Next wrap Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" Ruched Ribbon around the Vellum card front and tie a bow.  Cut the stamped sentiment to 1" x 3 1/2", punch one end with the Banner Triple punch and adhere to the card front.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog and looking at my project.  I would love it, if you would leave a comment or subscribe to my blog.  As an added incentive, if you leave a comment on my blog and include your name and #stampitcontest in your comment, your name will be entered in a drawing to win the Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit.  As you can see from the picture below, this is an awesome kit and the kit makes 16 packages.  How awesome is that??!!

 Thanks again for stopping by!!
