Baby Bear Card

These two little bears are so cute, you will want to just grab them right off the card and give them a hug!!
This card was made using the Baby Bear Photopolymer Stamp Set which is called a 2-step stamp set, but in actuality it is really a three step stamp set.  To make these darling little bears really pop, you will want to start stamping with the lightest color/shade first and then a slightly darker shade next with the darkest color/shade last.
For this card I started with the stamp labeled #1 and Crumb Cake ink, the next layer (stamp #2)was stamped in Soft Suede ink with the final layer (stamp #3) in Early Espresso ink.  If you are going to stamp the bears on a brown tone or darker colored cardstock, you will want to skip the first step with the lightest ink.  This stamp set even comes with a cute little bow for around the little bears neck or ear. To give the card a little dimension, I stamped two bears following the directions above onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  The next step is to fussy cut both bears out.  For the boy bear, I cut his head off of the body and adhered the body to a Very Vanilla card front using snail adhesive.  I then adhered the bear head back onto the bear body, tilting the head a little bit to the side.  For the girl bear, I attached her (all in one piece) to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to give the card some depth.  The bow for the boy bear is a 2-step stamp.  The first layer/step was stamped in Pool Party ink.  The second layer/step was stamped in Dapper Denim ink.  The little girl bear's bow was made with Melon Mambo Thick Bakers Twine.  The sentiment is from the Baby Bear Photopolymer Stamp set and was stamped with Early Espresso Ink onto the card front panel.  The edges of the front panel were sponged with Crumb Cake ink and then the card was adhered to a Crumb Cake card base.
My daughter made this alternate Baby Bear card.  She followed the same technique as above.  The flowers were made using the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then colored the raised embossed area with the 2016-2018 Stampin' Write Markers.

Christmas in July Blog Hop

This Star Fold card was so fun to make, the hardest part was figuring out how to interlock the flaps together to keep the card closed.
The final size on this card is 6" x 6", but you will need a 12" x 12" piece of solid colored cardstock and Designer Series Paper.  Using a pencil and the 12" x 12" piece of cardstock mark one side of the cardstock at the 6" point and draw the line down the page about 2".
Using a ruler and pencil draw a line from the right lower corner to the center line you just drew making sure the line is 12" long.  Repeat for the left hand side.
Cut the cardstock along these two lines making a triangle.
Mark the center point (6") of each of the three sides of the triangle.
Using these marks you will now score from the center mark on one side to the center mark on the other side.  Repeat on the other two sides.  When you are finished the scored lines should make a triangle.
Using the score lines you just made, score the triangle again 1 3/4" from the lines you just scored.
With the paper laying flat, fold the inner score lines toward the card center and fold out the outer score lines away from the card center, making a peak and valley fold
For this card I used Garden Green cardstock for the base and This Christmas Designer Series Specialty Paper for the accent.  The embellishment was made using the Peace this Christmas stamp set, which is available in both wood mount and clear mount. I colored the pine bough stamp using Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker.  The flower, berry and leaf stamp was colored with the Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers and then stamped the images several times onto Very Vanilla cardstock, re-coloring the stamp between each time I stamped the image.  After I had stamped the layers, I fussy cut out the pine bough and adhered it onto the card base using a Stampin' Dimensional.  The following layer I cut out the flower, the leaves and berries and adhered them onto the top of the pine bough with a Mini Glue Dots.  The next layer I only cut out the flower and the berries and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots.  The last layer, I only cut the flower out and adhered it to the rest of the layers with glue dots.  For the final step, I squeezed the petals together on the top flower layer to give the flower a little dimension.

Floral Phrases Thank You card

The Floral Phrases stamp set along with the coordinating Detailed Floral thinlits are a beautiful set.  The diecut makes such a delicate looking card.
The awesome thing about this card is it was super quick and easy to make but when completed looks exquisite and very complicated.  I love it!!
The instructions to make this card are quite simple, with very little supplies needed. You will need two coordinating sheets of cardstock (for this card I used Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock), matching ink (for this card I used Night of Navy), the Floral Phrases stamp set, which is available in both wood or clear mount along with the Detailed Floral thinlit dies, a Big Shot and multipurpose adhesive. The Floral Phrases stamp set and Detailed Floral thinlit dies are also available as a money saving bundle. Because of the intricacy of the design, I would recommend using the Big Shot Die Brush to help remove the cardstock from the Detailed Floral thinlit dies.
The other thing that I like about the Detailed Floral thinlit die is that it is very versatile.  This card would also work well as a Wedding, Anniversary, Birthday or Congratulations card.

Always an Adventure

Isn't this card the cutest?
It was made using the Step Card technique with an Old Olive cardstock card base. The Step Card template that I used for this card is located at the end of these instructions.
At first, the mountains were a little bit of a challenge to make, but once I got the hang of how to make them, it was relatively easy.
I used the Outdoor Adventure Framelit dies along with Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso cardstock to make the mountains.  As well as, Whisper White cardstock for the snow-capped mountains.
The tent, fire and bear were stamped with the Always an Adventure stamp set and cut out using the Outdoor Adventure framelits.  The Always an Adventure stamp set is available individually or as a bundle with the Outdoor Adventure Framelit dies in either wood or clear block.  The label was cut out using the Tags and Labels Framelit dies. The sentiment is from the Acorny Thank You Photopolymer stamp set and was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Dapper Denim ink. The label was adhered onto the lake and cloud panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.  The lake and the clouds were stamped using Dapper Denim ink and the Always an Adventure stamp set.
