Christmas Holiday Blog Hop

Welcome to Team Stamp It Groups Christmas Holiday Theme Blog Hop!  Whether you hopped onto my blog from one of my teammates or started
with my blog, I'm awfully glad you "hopped" by.
Christmas.  Family and friends gathering.  Sparkling Snow.
Cold, frosty mornings.
Warm, glowing fires.  What a fun time of year!
This shaker card made me think of Christmas.  It was made using the Feels Like Frost Suite and the Still Scenes Bundle.
This card was a cinch to make using the Snow Globe Shaker Domes and the Snowflake sequins.  The card base is Night of Navy.  The front panel is Seaside Spray cardstock overlaid with vellum.  The snow on the roof and trees was made using Snowfall Accents Puff paint.  This paint puffs up when it is heated with a heat tool.  Sparkle Glimmer paper was used to make the snowflake and ice elements. The snowflakes have a rhinestone jewel placed in the center of the flake. The Season's Greetings sentiment is from the Still Scenes stamp set and was silver heat embossed onto Night of Navy cardstock and then fussy cut.
The sentiment on the inside Whisper White panel is from the Still Scenes stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy ink, as were the snowflakes.  The snowflakes are from the Frosted Foliage stamp set.  The large snowflakes have a rhinestone jewel placed in the center of the flake.
Here is what the card looks like when it is "shaken up".

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog and looking at my project.  I would love it if you would leave a comment or subscribe to my blog.  As an added incentive, if you leave a comment on my blog and include your name and #stampitcontest in your comment, your name will be entered into a drawing to win
the Notes of Kindness Card Kit.
The Notes of Kindness Card Kit is one of the all-inclusive card kits that are offered by Stampin' Up! and includes everything you need except the adhesive.

The winner of last month's Team Stamp It Blog Hop was Janice Kincaid.

Thanksgiving Placeholders

Thought I would share with you the Thanksgiving Table Placeholders I made for the Long Term Care Unit at the hospital I work for.
Because of privacy issues, I could not post a picture of the placeholders with the name showing.  On the final product the name of the person was written just below the "Give Thanks".
I used the Birds of a Feather stamp set for the turkey.
The apron was colored in various colors using Stampin' Blends.
The pumpkin was made using the Harvest Hello stamp set and coordinating Apple Builder punch.  This set is available as a bundle.  The stem was made using a punch that is retired.  The leaf was made using the Leaf punch from the Every Season Punch Pack.
