Thanksgiving Theme Blog Hop

Welcome to Team Stamp It Groups Thanksgiving Theme Blog Hop!  Whether you hopped onto my blog from one of my teammates or started
with my blog, I'm awfully glad you hopped by.
When I think of Thanksgiving, I think of warm family gatherings, cooler weather and falling leaves.  When I saw the Come to Gather Suite it instantly made me think of Thanksgiving and I knew I had to have it.
The card I made for this blog hop was made using the Come to Gather Suite.
The card base for this card is made with Cajun Craze cardstock cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". Using the large leaf die from the Gathered Leaves die set, which is part of the Come to Gather product suite or can be purchased separately, and my die cutting machine I cut two leaves out of the front of the card.
On the inside of the card front, I adhered a 5" x 3 1/2" piece of the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper, being careful to place the adhesive just barely along the edges of the paper so that it did not show through to the front of the card.
Next, cut out the smaller leaves, using the three smaller leaf dies that are part of the Gathered Leaves die set and your die cutting machine. These leaf dies will also emboss the "leaf veins" on to the cardstock while the leaf is being cut.  Gently curl the edges of the leaves with your finger and then adhere to the card front. The colors of cardstock used on this card for the leaves were Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry.  Before I cut out the Mint Macaron leaf that has my sentiment on it, I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Gather Together stamp set, in Pretty Peacock ink. The Gather Together stamp is part of the Come to Gather Product Suite or can be purchased separately. Attached to the bottom of the Mint Macaron sentiment leaf is a bow made with Cajun Craze Linen Thread.  The Cajun Craze Linen Thread is part of the Come to Gather ribbon combo pack, which also includes a spool of Crumb Cake 5/8" wide satin edged ribbon.  The Come to Gather ribbon combo pack is sold as part of the Gather Together Product Suite or can be purchased separately.
To hide the Designer Series Paper that was adhered to the inside of the card front, adhere a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 8 1/4" x 5 1/4", scored at 4 1/8" to the inside of the card. The sentiment and the wheat stock on the inside of the card are from the Gather Together stamp set and are stamped in Cajun Craze ink. I added three Mint Macaron Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins to the front of the card to give it a little bling.
I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog and looking at my project.  I would love it if you would leave a comment or subscribe to my blog.  As an added incentive, if you leave a comment on my blog and include your name and #stampitcontest in your comment, your name will be entered into a drawing to win
