Summer Lovin' Theme Blog Hop

Welcome to Team Stamp It Groups Summer Lovin' Theme Blog Hop!  Whether you hopped onto my blog from one of my teammates or started
with my blog, I'm awfully glad you hopped by.
When I think of occasions that happen in the summer my thoughts go to weddings.  Using the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack along with the coordinating Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More cards and envelopes card making for the occasion is a snap!
This card is so beautiful and was CASED from the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog on page 171.  To make the card, it required some fussy cutting, but the results were so worth it.  The Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack comes with two each of both 3" x 4" and 4" x 6" double-sided cards for a total of 50 cards along with
six 4" x 6" single-sided printed vellum specialty cards. To make this card,
I fussy cut the larger magnolia flowers from one of the matching cards and adhered them to the card front of the uncut matching card.
The leaves were made by coloring the leaves on one of the vellum sheets with Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends. I then fussy cut the leaves and adhered
them to the card tucking one end under the magnolia flowers.
The sentiment on the card is from the Special Celebrations stamp set.  Before the sentiment panel was adhered to the card front, it was wrapped with Mossy Meadow Linen thread.
The front of the envelope for this card was stamped with Whisper White Craft ink and the large magnolia flower from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.
The Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More cards and envelopes pack comes with printed envelope liners that coordinate perfectly with the
Magnolia Lane Suite of products.
I was having so much fun making these cards, here are a few more that I made. The best part about these cards is they look like you spent hours on them instead of just the few minutes they took to make.
For this card I adhered a 4" x 6" double-sided card onto the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More card base.  Next I adhered a 3 1/8" x 4 1/8" Silver Foil panel onto the card front.  The front panel is one of the coordinating
3" x 4" double-sided Magnolia Lane Memories & More double-sided card.  To finish the card, I added three Pearl Basic Jewels.
This card was especially simple to make.  I adhered a 4 1/8" x 6 1/8"  Mossy Meadow cardstock panel to the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More card base.  Next, I wrapped Mossy Meadow Linen Twine a couple times around the 4" x 6" Magnolia Lane Memories & More card from the card pack and adhered it onto the card front.  To finish the card, I added a couple flowers from one of the four sticker sheets that come in the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack and some Pearl Basic Jewels.
Viola!  A beautiful card completed in less than 5 minutes.
This card was made using the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Card base.  The card bases are made from Kraft paper and have white foil  accents, which accentuate the 3" x 4" Memories & More cards. Before I adhered the card to the card base, I wrapped Mossy Meadow Linen Thread around the card a couple of times and added three Pearl Basic Jewels to the upper right hand corner.
This card was made the same way as above, except I adhered a 3 1/8" x 4 1/8" Mossy Meadow cardstock panel to the back of the 3" x 4" card and wrapped this panel with 3/8" Magnolia Lane Linen Ribbon and tied it in a faux bow.  This linen ribbon has white edges and is very beautiful.  For the finishing touch to the card, I added some Pearl Basic Jewels.

Father's Day Cards

Since I shared with you the Mother's Day cards I made for our hospitals Long Term Care Unit, I thought I would also share with you the cards I made for them for Father's Day.
I know I always say this but...what a fun card to make!  I used the same technique for this card as I used for the Father's Day Blog Hop card.
This card was made using the Best Catch stamp set with the coordinating Catch of the Day dies.  The birds are from the High Tide stamp set.
Here's the back of the card.
The sentiment on the back is from the retired Nailed It! stamp set.
Some up close looks at the fishing basket and hat,
the fishing person,
and the fish.
The fish was colored with Light Crumb Cake, Dark and Light Granny Apple Green, Dark and Light Pool Party, Light Smoky Slate, Light Calypso Coral and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  Once the ink dried, clear Wink of Stella was brushed over the fish.
