Father’s Day Blog Hop

Welcome to Team Stamp It Groups Father's Day Blog Hop!  Whether you hopped onto my blog from one of my teammates or started
with my blog, I'm awfully glad you hopped by.
This card was made using the Sailing Home stamp set along with the coordinating Smooth Sailing dies.
What a fun stamp set to use!  This card was inspired by a card I had seen on Pinterest that was made by Gaylene Clarkson.
The photo does not do the sunset/sunrise justice.  It was made using Crushed Curry, Mango Melody, Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy ink.
The anchor was made with a piece of Silver Foil sheet and the anchor die from the Smooth Sailing dies. Next I stamped the anchor from the Sailing Home stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out using the anchor die. This anchor was adhered to the silver foil anchor.  The top of the anchor was wrapped with a piece of Crumb Cake Nature's Twine.
The dial on the compass will spin around and was attached to the compass using a metallic brad that was colored with a black marker.

The Lighthouse is also part of this stamp set, it was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then colored with Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends.  The ground around the lighthouse was colored with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.
The sentiment on the back of the card is from the Geared Up Garage stamp set.
The Wheel is also part of the Smooth Sailing dies and is cut out of Soft Suede cardstock and has a metallic brad in the center.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog and looking at my project.  I would love it if you would leave a comment or subscribe to my blog.  As an added incentive, if you leave a comment on my blog and include your name and #stampitcontest in your comment, your name will be entered into a drawing to win
