New Year’s Blog Hop

Welcome to Team Stamp It Groups New Years Theme Blog Hop!
Whether you hopped onto my blog from one of my teammates or started with my blog, I'm awfully glad you hopped by.
It's hard for me to believe that Christmas 2019 has already come and gone and another year is nearing its end.  Where has the year gone?
This Happy New Year card was made using the Stitched Stars and the Merry Christmas dies.  The Stitched Stars dies are set to retire with the 2019 Holiday catalog, but will be back again with the 2020 Holiday catalog.  The colored glimmer paper was made by sponging Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay ink onto Sparkle glimmer paper and allowed to dry. (To speed up the drying process I used my heat tool).
Using Basic Black cardstock, the "star explosion" from the Stitched Stars dies and your die-cutting machine, cut out the "star explosion" from the center of the Basic Black front panel.  Remove the detailed part of the "star explosion" and set aside.  Cut out the stars, using the colored glimmer paper, the star dies from the Stitched Stars die set and your die-cutting machine.
Adhere colored glimmer paper onto the back of the Basic Black front panel using Multipurpose glue.  Adhere this panel onto a Whisper White card base using your favorite adhesive.  Adhere the detailed part of the "star explosion" back onto the center of the card front.  Some of the details (a few stars and curly-Q's) were cut off using paper snips to help emphasize the details more.  I found the easiest way to adhere the detailed "star explosion", the stars and the "Happy" sentiment was to dilute a small amount of multipurpose glue with tiny bit of water and dabbed it onto the back of each cut out with a piece of sponge.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog and looking at my project.  I would love it if you would leave a comment or subscribe to my blog.  As an added incentive, if you leave a comment on my blog and include your name and #stampitcontest in your comment, your name will be entered into a drawing to win
the Looking Up Card Kit.

The Looking Up Card Kit is one of the all-inclusive card kits that are offered by Stampin' Up! and includes everything you need except the adhesive.

The winner of last month's Team Stamp It Blog Hop was Brooke Berger.
Congratulations Brooke!

One last Christmas card.....

Didn't quite get this card posted before Christmas but still a fun, easy card to make.
This card was made using Seaside Spray cardstock and the Jolly Season dies.  The designer series paper that I used for the background on this card was from the Feels like Frost product suite and is unfortunately sold out.

Merry Christmas Mug

This was another fun and easy card to make.
The card is made on a Whisper White card base, followed by a Real Red panel cut to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  The next panel is Gold foil cut to 4 1/2" x 3 1/4".  The Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper was cut at 4 3/8" x 3 1/8".  The last panel is made with Whisper White cardstock cut to 3 7/8" x 2 5/8".  The cup was cut out using Real Red cardstock and the Cup of Cheer dies from the Cup of Christmas bundle. The poinsettia design on the cup and the holly leaves were made with the Cup of Cheer dies.  The Old Olive holly leaves were attached to the card front using mini glue dots.  The cup was attached to the card front using dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the Cup of Christmas stamp set and is stamped in Real Red ink.  The sentiment tag was cut out using one of the Ornate Frames dies.  The sentiment tag was attached using a mini dimensional on the far end and a mini glue dot on the end that is attached to the cup handle.  The bow is made with a string from the Real Red Curly ribbon and adhered with a mini glue dot.  Pearl Basic Jewels were added to the center of the poinsettia using the Take your Pick tool.  Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the card front to finish the look.

Moose Christmas Card

Quick post tonight to share with you a Christmas card I made. I am really pleased with how it came out.

The moose was stamped in Cajun Craze and Early Espresso ink, using the Merry Moose stamp set and was cut out with the coordinating Moose Punch.   The scarf is stamped in Real Red and fussy cut out. The trees are from the Most Wonderful Time product medley stamp set and were stamped three times with the same inked stamp in Old Olive ink.  The raccoon was colored with light and dark Smoky Slate Stampin Blends.  The log was colored with light and dark Soft Suede Stampin Blends. The northern lights were created on the gold starred cardstock that is included in the Most Wonderful Time product medley.  The ink colors used to make the northern lights were Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy.
