Fall Theme Blog Hop

Welcome to the Team Stamp It Group Blog Hop.  Whether you started with my blog or came here from one of my teammates blog, I am glad that you stopped by and hope that you will like what you see.
This card was inspired by a card that I saw on page 156 in the 2016-17 Find Your Inspiration Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  This catalog has so many inspiring ideas, if you haven't already done so, grab a cup of coffee or tea and take some time to take a look through the catalog.  I promise, you won't be disappointed.
To make this card, I used Cajun Craze cardstock for the card base. Next I embossed the Very Vanilla card front using the Petal Burst Textured Impression Embossing folder and the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  Once the Very Vanilla card front was embossed, I dabbed an Aqua Painter Pen, which had been filled with water, onto a Stampin' Up! Classic Ink Pad and then painted each petal in coordinating colors. Make sure when you change to a new color, you "flush" the old color out of the Aqua Painter brush by squeezing the Aqua Painter and dabbing the brush onto a paper towel until the color is clear.  Please see my supply list below for the coordinating ink pad colors that I used. The flower was stamped onto Daffodil Delight cardstock using the large flower stamp from the Flower Patch Photopolymer stamp set and Crushed Curry Ink. I then cut the flower out using the matching die from the Flower Fair Framelits Dies set.  The leaves were stamped onto Old Olive cardstock using a leaf stamp from the Flower Patch stamp set and Always Artichoke Ink. The leaves were cut out using the coordinating Flower Fair Framelit die and were attached to the flower using Stampin' Dimensionals.  The flower was then attached to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set, which is available in both clear and wood mount, and is stamped in Cajun Craze ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  The sentiment label was made by layering Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla cardstock and then attached to the card front using Fast Fuse Adhesive.  Linen Thread was wrapped around the sentiment label and tied into a bow.  The bow was stabilized with a Mini Glue Dot.  The completed card front panel was attached to the Cajun Craze card base using Fast Fuse Adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed this colorful fall thank you card.  You can subscribe to my blog by clicking on the "Subscribe to my Blog" link on the right hand side of this page.
